European Center for Quality Ltd. is a modern consulting company founded in 2001. The company specializes in two spheres - development and management of projects under different EU programmes and in development and implementation of international standards for quality management. The company works in close-knit cooperation with a variety of national and foreign partners, among which are educational institutions and universities, qualification centres, non-governmental organisations, chambers of commerce, consulting companies, etc. ECQ is experienced in training SME managers and employees in application of different quality standards.

The image of ECQ as a reliable partner is founded on 16 years of professional consultancy experience. Since its establishment ECQ has developed projects for more than 70 enterprises, conceived, implemented and/or supported realization of more than 13 municipal projects, over 15 LLP projects (measures: Partnerships, TOI, DOI, KA1, KA4) and 16 Erasmus+ KA1 & KA2 projects. ECQ has also developed project proposals under OP Competitiveness and Regional development, PHARE Cross-border cooperation and PHARE Grant Schemes for increasing SME competitiveness.

Since 2007 the company has started participating in Intelligent Energy Europe Programme as partner in the following projects: “Energy, Education, Governance, Schools. A European school panel for involving local communities in energy efficiency programs: Local communities at school – EGS” (IEE 2007), “A Schools’ panel for High Energy Efficiency Products – SHEEP” (IEE 2009), “A network of sustainable ENERGY supporting structures FOR the Covenant of MAYORS – Energy for Mayors” (IEE 2009) and “Supporting Local Authorities in the Development and Integration of SEAPs with Energy Management Systems According to ISO 50001 – 50000 and 1 SEAPs” (IEE 2013).

With the aim to expand its consultancy services, ECQ has recently developed several projects for RES utilization in cooperation with subcontracted energy experts. These projects are funded by National financial instruments and lie in the field of construction of water power stations and photovoltaic systems. ECQ has taken part in all stages of implementation of the approved energy projects – from project structuring and development through technical support and coordination with the governmental organisation to issuing construction and environmental permits.

ECQ has been involved in a wide range of project activities, including: cross-country needs analysis performed through interviews and online surveys; summarizing and presenting results of conducted research; development of innovative training curricula and learning content; conducting training workshops and evaluation seminars; interacting with stakeholders and collecting feedback; development of project websites and sophisticated learning platforms; organising small and big scale promotional events and conferences; ensuring wide dissemination and exploitation of project results; project quality management. The company’s expertise in EU project management will bring a high added value to the Sustain-T project.

In addition, ECQ is a member of several networks: E.N.T.E.R. - the European Network for Transfer and Exploitation of EU Project Result (858 Members in 36 countries), Bulgarian Association of Management Consulting Organisations (28 companies and 56 individual members), Association "Club 9000" - a non-profit nongovernmental organisation aimed at speeding up harmonization of activities related to Quality Management in Bulgarian organisations with internationally accepted practices embedded in International Standards (205 members).
