Intellectual Output 5 - Guidelines for MSEs and Methodological Handbook for VET providers

The guidelines for MSEs and the methodological handbook for VET providers will be compiled after the other Intellectual Outputs are developed (in the case of O1) or are close to their finalization (in the case of O2-O4). This output will aim to explain the nature of the Sustain-T training material and to encourage learners and trainers to use them.

The guidelines for MSEs will appear in a form of a short (15-20 pages) document, which will explain:

  1. The purpose of the Sustain-T training and the reasons for MSEs to engage with the Sustain-T learning materials and tools;
  2. The content of the Sustain-T training and the resources available on the e-learning platform;
  3. The possibilities for creating a personal learning pathway;
  4. The requirements for receiving a certificate of achievement on the training completion;
  5. The value of the Sustain-T interactive tools for real-life business practices of MSEs.

The guidelines for MSEs will be written from the perspective of a manager of a micro or small enterprise. They will facilitate the learners’ interaction with the Sustain-T training material.

The methodological handbook for VET providers will cover the following issues:

  1. Focus and objectives of the Sustain-T training;
  2. Micro and small enterprises in the tourism sector as the primary target group of the Sustain-T training;
  3. Sustain-T training materials: curriculum, learning modules & units, and interactive tools;
  4. Sustain-T e-learning platform as an innovative environment for distant or blended learning;
  5. Instructional design of the Sustain-T training.

While the aspects from 1) to 4) represent an overview of the Sustain-T products, the fifth aspect will provide insights into teaching and learning approaches, ensuring the achievement of the training objectives.

This part of the Handbook will delve into the nature of networking and collaboration skills in a professional setting. It will provide innovative elements, by explaining how these skills can be embedded in a vocational curriculum and translated into the context of training in the field of sustainable tourism. It will suggest, what tasks should be designed and what teaching/learning activities should be planned, so that the learners could demonstrate skill attainment.
